1935 Ford Pickup Rear Axle Support

I am attempting to learn what the parts are that I removed from a 1935 Ford Pickup axle. The parts attach to the rear axle with U-bolts and extend under the radius rods. There are no part numbers or manufacturer stamped into these parts. Any help in identifying these parts is appreciated. Thank you. Ike

I have seen many of these on farm trucks. The purpose was to increase the load capacity so the owner could haul more weight. I think most of these caused early failure due to the abuse they encouraged.
