52 F1 - Door query, horn query

I have a '52 F1 and many questions. Here are two:
1) The driver's door has two small holes on the outside below vent window. They have been filled. I have yet to see a sideview mirror on an F1 that mounts to the door. All I've seen are hinge mount and ones that clip to the edge of the door frame. Any idea? pics?
Also on the outside of driver's door is a metal plug that's about 7/8" diameter...plugs a 3/4" hole? It is painted in at this point. What might it have been for?

2) I have one horn under the hood. Trumpet style that matches the literature I've seen. Is there a reproduction made in the same style? To find another one is the best bet to go to an old junkyard? Pic is not mine - it's from a previous thread. Way prettier than the horn I have.

Thanks:
William

No idea what the big plug would be for, but the two smaller ones are likely for "West Coast" style mirrors, or a Car-type mirror. Are there any holes above the vent window?

Attached are photos of two ‘52s from a V8 meet a couple years ago, along with some under-the-hood shots. Mine is the maroon one. Mine is a “5 Star Extra” version, which had the fancier hood side trim, stainless around the windshield, and slightly nicer inferior. It also had two horns vs. the single horn on the cheaper F-1. Note that both have the same original side mirrors, but mine is shorter. When I bought the truck, it had the longer mirror support, but I cut it off. The long one looks fine on maybe an F-6, but I think it looks strange on a small pickup.

I looked and can't detect any holes/coverup on the top frame anywhere. I wonder if a simple side mirror was attached at some point. The two holes under vent window are on both sides - the ones on passenger are not filled.

Nice. I didn't realize that the "custom" version had the extra side trim on the hood. I new there was the chrome trim around windshield and vent windows, but not the extra hood trim.

It could possibly have been a spotlight mount, altho I've never seen one mounted on the door itself.

Attached are some photos from “The Commercial Fords” by Lorin Sorensen. They show views of the deluxe interior and standard interior, as well as long and short rear view mirrors. Note that the white ‘51 F-1 has a peep mirror.
