5 bearing cam worth anything?

I picked up a 28 5 bearing cam today. Not in the best shape but not worn out-I think. Is this worth anything to someone? They can have it for shipping, just PM me.

Production of 5 bearing cams in the beginning had 2-4 fully finished bearing dimensions
Later production of these the 2-4 was undercut to reduce grinding finish
If this is full diameter it may be worth more

If it is an early cam as described by John, above, I'm interested.

It kind of looked over the hill, but without good measurements and a close inspection you never can know.

I'm curious to know what makes this early camshaft so special? I have one that shows very little wear but the lift isn't much more than later "A" cams. I have been told that the 5 bearing cams were a bit noisy.

Yeah, I just grabbed it without looking closely at it. After taking the pics and sending them to Mr. Brierley even I said whoa...I figure that if he said it is toast then it is.

URSUS....from what I can see the heel of the lifter is a lot lower than what they came up with for the three bearing cams.

nothing a little welding can't fix.

the lobes are not the problem, they are routinely ground and undercut the shank of the cam.
more than likely, Jim is looking at the center bearing diameter.
Over the years many have tried hard chroming to build up and regrind with some success.
Dennis Piranio was working on the welding, I just don't know how far he progressed before the checkered flag.

With the new Burtz cams available the value of the originals is very low, sorry.
