Flathead Ted's Brake Energizer Kit & Instructions.
the description by ford38V8 above, does not pertain to Ted's floater kit, but rather, to a kit that was of totally different design. Ted's kit does not incorporate a star wheel, rather, more closely resembles Ford's 37-38 design.
Just FYI.
When I got my '35 a few years ago I was initially baffled by the brake adjustment. Eventually I determined that it had star wheel type floaters. I believe they are this type, apparently made by Ace. My car was restored about 25 years ago, so I assume they are from that period.
As I recall (oh oh) the top "anchor" is the one you remove. Turn it in and that cover will push off its seat.
Then you replace that bolt with the one Ted supplies. Again, if I recall correctly, he even gives you a small threading tool to clean the threads.
I'd recently installed these in one of my '36s and am very pleased.

I was able to put the adjuster and wedge at the top in with no problem. It at the bottom that I don't see how to remove. I think the instructions aren't specific enough for me. Kube, how did you install the floaters on your 36?
I went out to look and find I didn't make any modifications at the bottom.
So you only installed the adjusters at the top. How about on the rear brakes?
Thank you!
Yes . Thank you. Now I'm just waiting on some brake pad Springs from Third Gen.
Where are people in the US of A purchasing the kit from these days?
