Sign For My Model "A"

While driving my Victoria to Model "A" Day yesterday, I was thinking about modern vehicles who have no respect for my Model "A". I was on a 55MPH Parkway doing 50 to 53 MPH in the right hand lane, but a few driving modern cars gave my antique carnno respect. So I am going to have a magnetic sign made to put on the back of my Model "A" with an idiom such as:
> This Ford is almost 100 years old! Give it some respect!
> I am 100 year-old technology. Give me some respect!
> I am 100 year-old technology. Please stay off my derriere!
Do you have any suggestions?

Great idea. But you have a second problem. Long Island drivers.

Coming from someone who lives along route 95 in Connecticut.

Enjoy.

WHN 2X.

Bob, and you drove the Cross Bronx to go over the GW Bridge to the Finger Lakes ! You are a lot braver than I.

I had a magnetic sign made for my back of my Town Sedan... it doesn't do any good.

How about "Let's see how fast you are when you're 100!" ?
I have to agree with previous comments, people are in too big a hurry to pay attention to anything but aggressive handle and arm movements.

It may garner attention you Don't want, plus I don't know if self driving cars read car signage while the drivers are napping.

I have a four door and I've always thought:

If it was meant to go fast it wouldn't be shaped like a brick.
Go around, I'm pedaling as hard as I can!
Watch for falling wrenches.
You won't move quick when you're 100 either.
My 0-60 is maybe.

I have a different philosophy— drive with the speed of traffic or faster.
Stock engine no overdrive although I did upgrade the tires to the Excelsior Stal radials —- no more strange darting on grooved pavement.
I need the limitation of the stock engine although I do believe there is more available and I do see the number 75 — and I don’t think it would be there if it wasn’t possible

A common sign on the back of Model T's is "20 horsepower."
I like the signs on gravel trucks: "Stay back 200 feet, not responsible for broken windshields."
Another one I like is "Not so close, I hardly know you."

Really modern drivers don’t see anything, blind to the world , except for the one finger salute !

Exactly. It is nationwide. People not paying attention. I notice when I meet traffic, easily half of the drivers are staring down at the seat, phone, and/or using that stupid touch screen to change radio channels, adjust interior fan speed, adjust heat/cold, check text messages.... What idiot 'engineer' decided the TOUCH SCREEN in a car, would be a good idea? Yeah, take your eyes off the road at 60mph for like 3-4 seconds and you just traveled the length of a football field...

After they hit us their first question will be 'What Model A? I didn't even see it..'

And wgat DMV dummy OK'd them???

Sure, it is not as fast as your car but are you sure you want to be in front of it. The brakes are lousy too.

Unless you are with a large touring group I would NOT be on modern highways moving faster than 50 MPH + it is just too dangerous. Today's drivers are not paying attention to the road or other vehicles, they are watching their phones. Even driving on local secondary roads you need to be alert for speeders and idiots.

I think you're wasting your time and money.

The cars can not read a sign because they are driving so damn fast, AND with their phone in their mouths.

In Wilkesboro there are still dirt roads. My wife's brother in law warned me to not drive on one of them because the locals use it as a dirt track. He said that you might meet someone coming the opposite direction around a curve in a full 4 wheel drift.
