1939 Ford Half ton Sheet metal

I've been told my fenders and grille are in really bad shape which will require a lot more time and dollars to fix. I can't seem to find 1939 replacement parts. Based on appearance, the 1938 looks identical. Can anyone tell me if I were to find 1938 fenders and grille, those are identical? Are manufacturer specs the same? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hood top is the same 1938-39 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton +
Hood handle is different 1938 and 1939 but fits both 1/2 ton and 3/4ton+
Hood side panels are the same 1938-39 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton +
Grille is different 1938 and 1939 but fits both 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton+
Front fenders are the same 1938-39 1/2 ton but different from 3/4 ton +
Front fender to grille extensions are the same 1938-39 1/2 ton but different from 3/4 ton+
Inner front fenders are the same 1938-39 1/2 ton but different from 3/4 ton +

I make the fenders, inner fenders, and extensions in fiberglass (at least through September, will be discontinuing them or selling the molds by winter).
I have (I think) an original 1939 grille (no trim) and original hood sides (no emblems) that I will sell.

NoviceLou,
I'd like to assure you that Karl KNOWS his stuff and is VERY trustworthy. I'd advise you to take him up on his offer on the grille and hood sides. I'd also suggest you purchase his glass pieces.
The pieces you desire have been rare for decades. The possibility of you finding them now is near zero.
My thinking? Acquire the glass parts, etc. now.

So all the holes in the glass parts line up with the original frame, bed and side hood? What hardware is used to secure the glass? Do I run the risk of cracking the glass if overtorqued? Are there holes to bolt up to the metal running boards? Is felt recommended to sit between the glass and frame/body? I very much appreciate any info to help me decide.

Regarding the fiberglass. We do not pre-drill holes. Our recommended procedure is to clamp everything together then drill holes, that way they always match. I prefer to drill holes 1/2" diameter for 5/16 gr 5 bolts, this gives a bit of wiggle room (stock 3/8 bolts can be used also). Our recommendation is to use USS hardened washers on 5/16 bolts, stock thick SAE washers with stock 3/8 bolts. With proper washers overtorquing is not an issue (and the oversize hole prevents binding of the bolt shaft). Felt between panels may be used but does not need to be used. Fender welting is discretionary.

As to the body and frame mounting there are wood blocks for the 2,3, and 4 bolt, and front bed bolt locations. I recommend a treated fabric chassis welting on the frame from the #1 bolt hole to the front bed bolt hole.

I second Kube's response and advice. I have used Karl's glass parts and was extremely satisfied with the fit and finish of his glass parts. If you are looking for decent metal pickup parts, your project will sit dormant for years.
