40 Ford sway bar ends

Does anyone sell or rebuild the sway bar ends on a 40 Ford? Drake doesn't sell them. Can they even be rebuilt?

Can they be rebuilt? Well, yeah, sorta.
Get a tie rod end, NOS or NORS, cut off the threaded shaft and weld the "ball end" to the swivel.

$50 - $75 depending on that day's "audience".

I rebuilt my 40 front end and searched high and low for some replacement sway bar ends. Seems like they were not being reproduced anymore. So I cleaned mine up , packed them with grease, and replaced the rubber boots.

Two months later I found some NOS ones at a swap meet for cheap...

Yeah, huh? No grease or rubber boots on these. Rubber inserts are captured around the ball/stud during manufacturing.

Rubber boots?

Correct. The original seals were long gone so I added some tie rod end boots to retain the grease. It was a temporary solution until I could find some replacements.
