Horn Question

I need a diagram as to how to wire the horn temporarily to a horn button until I can find the correct size horn rod for my 30 Sport Coupe.

In the past I have used a door bell button. I am not sure if these are still available but they used to light up so they were easy to find at night or in a dark part of the car. Wire it up so that it grounds the side of the horn that the normal horn button would ground. Use your multi meter to find the hot side at the horn and the other side is the side that is grounded to blow the horn.

The ground wire is all that has to be switched as long as the power wire from the generator is connected. Just run a jumper from the switch to the horn.

For Bruce. I vote for the correct horn rod/button. Quality is so poor on the repo's I can't find a good one to fit the column I have

Stock is best, but if you need a temporary button, one of those in my link are better than a door bell type.
