I "believe" there is a "relationship to one of the "contributors" to the V8 Club 33/34 restoration book.

Reminds me of the vendor at Portland Swap: Two Mustangs for $50,000 @- Promised WIFE he'd try to sell them. Newc

I wonder what best offer means? $9500 and you pay the shipping?

I have always laughed at "best offer". What exactly does that mean?
Best offer by a certain date?
Best offer over a certain amount by a certain date?

Anything else is simply "for sale".

I sell a lot of stuff on eBay. I have always set my starting bid at the minimum I am willing to accept. Never a reserve.
There have been numerous times the only bid was the starting bid. Oh well. That was a choice I made so no complaints.

Part of Mike Laureno's collection. Man I miss that guy!! He was one of nicest people I've met and had known him and his Grandson Andrew since I was 6 years old. Price seems crazy But I auctioned a used one 8 years ago with no reserve starting at a penny and it fetched $3800. The market I don't think is there now to command that price. I can easily see it fetching $4k though. I'd have to venture there is not another NOS one in the box in existence, and is certainly the most valuable of 34 accessories.

truth is, appreciation of a quality restoration and any part of it, involves the element of time, or duration.

for instance, if i could only appreciate ownership of such an item for, let's say, one minute, it might only be worth a buck or two. but if i could admire it in my beautifully restored (imaginary) 1934 car for the next half century, it might be worth the asking price.

but for me and what, according to the RMD on my retirement account, calculated WRT our government's statistical information on the date of my demise, i figure it's worth about $9.99, including shipping. ;)
