FH V8 oil pan

My oil pressure went from 30 to 20 or less at idle. Hate to remove the oil pan, but plan to drain the oil and would like to remove the big inspection plate at the bottom or the pan. In my online research, I read about a case where that plate was removed, but couldn't be reinstalled because there were bolts on the outside of the pan holding it on. Nuts on the inside, so there's the problem I'm hoping to avoid. Can that plate be removed and reinstalled without problems if everything is original? I'd like to clean the bottom of the pan and clean the oil pump screen. Any suggestions? Thank you This is a 1950 F1 pickup.

The Shop Manual shows the nuts for the inspection plate are on the outside of the pan. Over time, most anything is possible but the stock arrangement wouldn't have attachment nuts inside the oil pan.
