Works very well in all areas ie in and out etc. Some time ago replaced in/out cable.
The only area which has not worked since I've owned it is the kick down switch at floor location. At this stage thought it would be good to have it operating. Do have a spare floor switch. Where to start to check for operation of this switch.
Appreciate all input.

The two connections closest to the threaded shank and on opposite sides of the switch should have continuity as it is at rest. The two connections on the other end of the switch should have continuity when the shaft of the switch is depressed.

Appreciate your reply which is clear to follow and check. Will look at this and report back.

I replaced mine cause kickdown didn't work. Not positive I needed to because in the new installation I raised the switch toward the gas pedal and epoxied a steel plate on the backside of a new gas pedal. The old pedal had left-right slop in it and maybe wasn't activating the switch. The plate sticks out about 3/16" on right ensuring the switch is activated. Kickdown works fine now.

Apprecitate this information also more areas to follow up on.
