39 Mercury w/s wiper arms

Aren't 39 Mercury wiper arms slightly bent at about a 45 degree angle, looking straight ahead at them, where Ford arms are straight? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW. ( And I can't remember. Bad case of CRAFT)

I, like you, have the same straight arms on my 39 Merc BUT I "think" Lawson is correct in that they "should" have a bend in the arm... A lot happens to these cars over the past 86 years and the "Mercury experts" who have been around them long enough to say with certainty are few and far between AND of those, many are gone now!!!! The "only" real hope would be a search at The Benson Ford Research Facility by part number IF that information is still available and not lost to fire?


By the way shoebox, what number is your town sedan?? I will take close pictures this weekend of my arms and we can compare to see IF what we both have at least matches

No idea. The plate is missing from mine.
Looked up the vin, it says 99A29197, if that's any help.

Not that I am aware of.....Mine is an "early" car, all my glass is "bugged" 10-38.
