40 deluxe grilles, original identification

How do you identify an original for a deluxe, I was on Ebay and it seems there are three different styles of the center section. I have seen U shaped spot welded bars, cast solid bars,..? maybe some are old replacements or...

Authentic grilles (the center sections) were cast. There was one style. No welded bars. The "bars" on cross section appear almost as an "L".
Nearly everyone I have had has a tiny date cast on the very bottom bar.
Even the service replacement parts were identical to the grilles installed upon the assembly line.
