scam scam scam

[34fordy]

There was a for sale listing for parts by a member that has now been deleted. I won't put the members name as I am sure he was used somehow. When I went to pay with PayPal they stopped it saying a possible scam. Then the "seller" asked for venmo. I wonder if this scammer will try to work thru any of us who responded to his phony deal.

If it sounds too good to be true it usually is. I hope no one got taken on this.

When the price is half of what is typical (especially for those particular 32 parts in the ads), it is most certainly a scam. Some of the photos were from old FB ads some months ago. I suspect that an innocent member's account was captured somehow.

I was going to send a PM to the Fordbarn member who's name was used but I assume the SOB that used his name would get his PM too.

I sent the Barn member a couple messages but have not received a response. He may not be aware of what has happened?????

I believe Ryan, the administrator, is aware of this and taking care of it. I looked at the members list and it appears that the member that was taken advantage of is not on our community list at this time.
