I thought I would share the results of a new grill I helped a friend here in France order one. First pic is when he received it and second after having it chromed recently. In the end very affordable.

These have been available intermittently for many years. My historic view is they have a very good base, however do require some "adjustment" to achieve a perfect fit. I believe the manufacturer understands this and that is one of the reasons they supply only non chrome. This is NOT to compare it to the Argentina crap, but rather to recognize some work is needed to go from "OK" to "GREAT".

Hi Deuce Lover,
Thanks for sharing this info. It looks very good from the pics you shared.
Was it only a chroming job or actually sourcing a new grill and then chroming it ?
I'd be interested in more detailed info (PM or here) as I may need one for 1933.
Thanks in advance.

New grill from Australia shipped to France and then having it chromed. The plater is in Belgium. They make 33,34 and 35 Ford grilles

Mike In AZ and us are the only two US distributors. 1933,34,and 35's are all available in Zinc or Chrome

We sell within a week everytime we get any in. We currently only have a 33 Zinc.

A restorer in Oregon had a special copper anode made for plating those grills and with his death it is lost. Newc

I would assume that the copper anode is for the initial copper plating process. Platers generally make their own or have custom fabricators make the anodes needed for custom plating purposes. My last boss was in the aircraft cylinder plating business for many years and they had an in house machinist that made all their anodes and special tools.
