Model A auction in VA

I have been steadily inventorying and stocking parts since yesterday morning (including late into the night), so my eyes have about had it, but has anyone run a spreadsheet to see what the entire auction netted?

I haven't found a way to export the entire auction. There are 884 lots and it uses dynamic HTML to only show you the lots viewable on your browser at one time. There's a Print option that will create a single file showing all the lots, but not what they sold for.

You might could leverage one of the AIs with the "computer use" option to automate paging through the lots and scraping the bid amounts. Best idea I've got at the moment.

#201 3-Pt Dirt Bucket was a heck of a 'buy'!

WOW! what an auction! I found the entire list of 889 sold parts, tools and machines to be an amazing array! no doubt, quite the shop! and reflections of the owner. some amazing buys! cents on the dollars! many should be pleased with their new item acquisitions!

Yes, it was a well run auction. Ironically, there was only one lot that did not receive a single bid. One of the auction managers came up to Dennis and I on Saturday and asked if we were interested in it. It was an oblong case that had some electric company logo on it.

Cut & paste from the web to a spreadsheet would likely be the simplest way based on what info we have to work with.

At least on my browser, it won’t let you select the text of the winning bid amount to copy.

I also tried different workarounds, but none of them worked. It looks like the only way to do it is to have someone manually scroll through the auction and add the numbers up.

Ok, so this has been done. I know the total (-as does Colin ;)), but does anyone else want to guess what the total hammer price for the auction was before it is posted??

I'll guess the buyers premium pulled in a minimum of $150,000 Then you had 800 lots.
Total monies taken in ....problem $700,000

Nahh, not quite that much, but more than I had imagined. The auction company did a fine job in execution and in advertising as there were a diverse group of bidders. Accounting below...

(-If anyone sees an error, please let me know and I will make corrections).

Thanks for putting that together, Brent! That amount is actually surprising as it seemed like more sold, but the math is right.
