Have the radiator support bracket with the two bolts on it and the small aftermarket rectangular pad. No springs, washers, etc. What else do I need? Where can I buy a kit? Thanks.

There was a previous discussion on this.

56SEDANDELIVERY went thru this. Let me see if I (or anyone else) can find the thread.

The main problem here is that the MPC illustration shows a 1957 core support install instead of a 55/56.

The 55/56 install is a little different but I found most of the info.

There is also the question of the engine front steady rest if used.

All of this was sorted out with two previous posters so it is solvable.

This is how I did mine. The coil springs were from a different year, 49-53 I believe, but they worked.

HERE is another referring URL - https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279175&showall=1

The ILL (CASCO) I show in the thread states 1955/56 but is actually a 1954.

This is really bothering me as there is no concise ILL of the 55/56 install (other than possibly in an earlier print of either the 1955 or 1956 CHASSIS CATALOG). All is shown (MPC - FINAL ISSUE - 1959) is a 1955/1957 'TYPICAL' install and it shows 1957 specifically.

There is more to this than what has been shown. I would really be interested in seeing HOT ROD REVEREND's final install on his 55.

The answer(s) has to be in the BODY AND CHASSIS MANUAL. There has to be a tension adjustment on those two springs to keep the core support from jumping.
