This Thread should be in with the Early V8 (1932-1953)

You asked when was the last Roadster Pickup?
The last year for the Roadster Ute in Australia was 1938.
Sales Brochure Illustration - 1938 Ford Standard Roadster Utility.

A lot of people don't know it, but the grill bars don't connect to the center strip on 38 Ford trucks like the red one above. They do on the 39.

Interesting that they call it a 'utility'. Is 'pickup' not the common term in Australia?

In Canada we called light trucks 1/2 tons, 3/4 tons or one tons, nowadays they tend to be called pickups, (the American influence of Canadian English).

What would be the rating on a model A and T pickup? did they rate them like the later pickups?

Friends of mine have this 39 1/2 ton pickup. The 1938 and 39 pickups are my favorite truck of that era

Bruce, is the price for that green pickup $31,000? Hard to make out the price, but SURELY not that much....

At Hershey, there just might be someone who just has to have it! Also, it might be a case of, "Yes, dear, I agree it has to go; I'll advertise it for sale this week. "
