Hello! I have a 36 coupe with the original flathead and original 3 speed transmission. I’m going to use a new speedometer. Now I have to find a speedometer cable that fits the trans and the new speedo (female/female). What do I need and where can I find it?

Ps: it’s a mechanical speedo

Rusty at Speedometer Service in Colorado made a cable to connect the stock speedometer in my '54 Ranch Wagon to an AOD trans. Qualtiy work, fair price and shipping cost, and fast turn around. Also, he is an Alliance vendor on the HAMB.

If it's female on both ends a modern cable will work (Mustang, Fairlane, etc). Just need to figure out what length you need. If you know the length you can also find one on e-Bay as there is a vendor there that sells all sorts of speedo cables. A stock length cable will be the correct length, so call a V-8 parts vendor and ask the length of the stock cable.
