I bet that caused quite a stir back then! Back in the early 70's a local service station hired all women to pump gas and change oil, tires, etc. Got everyone in our little town wound up! ��

In the 1960s (?) Uniroyal Tires had an ad campaign showing a woman and two men. The men were Roy and Al. So far so good. The concept fell apart however as they named the woman Uni. And to think some ad agency was paid for this creative effort.

That Uni,Roy,and Al ad was still running in 1978.My girlfriend at the time had a dad that was having troubles with a set of Uniroyal tires.When that commercial came on we would might as well leave the room,he would carry on for the next 15 minutes about those Uniroyal tires.
