32\33 Detroit Lubricator on Model B?

I ended up with a downdraft manifold for a model A\B and it seems like a match to a Detroit Lubricator. I'm sure other carbs match also but it had me thinking that a DL from a 32 or 33 might be a good match to a very slightly hopped up B in a 32. Has anyone tried this? Any good or bad to giving it a shot? I'm working on a new engine so I don't want to make too many variables for myself if this will be more hassle then it's worth. I have a few DL carbs laying around also, so the cost aside from rebuilding isn't a factor.

Thank you
Zach

I would think the absence of 4 more cylinders creating intake volume would make a big difference??

Chevy 6cyl carbs are light years better and will bolt on. DL’s are extreamy poorly designed. Any wear and they will not work right.

When they are right and rebuilt right they are a fabulous carburetor. You got to know how to work on them, that’s the critical part. The one we had on or 32 ran the car beautifully
