My Galaxie

A friend of mine wanted to experiment with some photography techniques and took this picture of my 1962 Galaxie by photo-shopping about 2 dozen images with different lighting. It's at Shelter Island on San Diego harbor near my home.

I like the setting and the photography. How about some more of the car?

Looks great.

Thanks for your note. It's a 406 tri-power "G" code I bought on BringATrailer.com last December. Not a perfect car but has a of lot great stuff going on. Very certain it's a real "G" code, have the SN on the right front frame rail and very certain it's a real 406 block by the casting data.

Some stuff is missing though, like the Hi-Po cat-eye wheels. Found one on eBay, 4 more to go. Please send sellers my way.

Intellectually I knew it when I bought that it gets about 6 mpg in the in the city and 10 on the highway, but it's morally difficult to deal with. I'm determined to improve that.

!!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL CAR !!!

It looks as though you have later model widened wheels which looks good to me.

The KH HP WHEELS are 15" but only 5.5"W so it will affect handling unless you want a bone stock appearance.

BW 4/S?

EDIT - (The Boy Loves His Edits)

While searching for the wheels, be advised the 1960 HP wheel was only 5"W.

C1AZ 1007-A was the PN on the wheel you want.
