Add Temp Gauge

Someday I may restore or replace my liquid temp gauge that has lost its red color, until then, any recommendations for a temp sensor and gauge I could add to the spare port on my heads? Still 6V, positive ground. Thank you.

Years ago when I had a series of 'running hot' issues, instead of relying on the stock gauges i installed two of these:

I've never went back to the stock gauges, and these are mounted under the dash. They are non electrical - so be careful with those capillary tubes.

This is on my 53' Merc, still 6 volt pos ground. Just replace the bulbs with 6 volt bulbs. Got them at O'Reilly's.

I run a vintage Stewart-Warner mechanical I scored at a swap meet as well as the stock setup. Works great and looks like it has been there for decades. If you run a mechanical you only need to worry about using a 6V bulb for the illumination

Installed in my '34...
