Forder handles, mistake or trick?

My dad restored this 28 Fordor 30 years ago. Today after driving/owning it for 2 years and being around it all my life, I noticed an oddity. On 1 side the outside door handles are turned up, the other side are turned down. First question is, which is correct?

Through the years my dad and I went to many car shows and occasionally would see a trick like this. Once we saw an A with black wheels on 1 side and Apple ones on the other. The owner would watch and grin as people took laps around the car until they figured it out. I'm not sure if my dad did this on purpose to fool with people but here's the 2nd question. Have you ever seen or done something to your A to see who's paying attention at shows?

picture on right is correct!

Thanks Gary! I have seen them both ways on various years of Fordors so I wasn't sure which was correct.

The very early 1928 60A Fordors had the handles turn up. All later Fordor handles turned down.

A friend bought a Victoria that had an exterior sun visor put on it sometime in it's lifetime. When someone pointed it out to him, he would tell them it was one of the first 5 made and they would go get their friends to look at it. He would smile.

Henry probably changed the handle direction while this car was on the assembly line...

Haha, could be. A friend of mine bought a chevy truck back in the '80's. Left (drivers) side had Chevy badges, Right (navigators) side had GMC badges.

It wouldn't be hard for Ayers1 to switch the handles on one side to match to other side. 4 screws. At least he doesn't have one up, one down on the same side!

That's funny! Wonder how many people noticed?
Yep, it will be easy enough to fix, since I have seen them go both ways, I wasn't sure what was correct. I'm surprised that I've never noticed it before now!
