'32 Roadster folding top

Yeah, I've looked at the tops from Sid Chavers, etc.. While they look good, they don't fold down. I'd be interested as well!

I used to get them from Superior Industries, bought several sets 3 inch chopped irons, they were stainless. I even had thme make me a custom set out of plain iron. Sadly they have went the way of the Doo Doo. Check with Karl Wescott, he was working on some?

You wouldn't happen to have any "current" (secret, not published on their web site) contact info on Superior would you? I talked with them shortly before they closed. (wasn't ready for a top then) Got the impression they could have a "leftover" set or two, whenever I was ready in a year or two.

Don't rightly know Mr. Wescott. You wouldn't have any contact imfo on him also? Thanks

I have parts on hand for 12 pair of chopped irons, 6 stainless and 6 painted. Polishing, assembly, and painting needs to be done.

A typical issue with chopped 32 irons is they foul the door opening when folded. As you can see with my prototype I have solved that issue, so they stop even with the back of the door when folded.

Superior Industries? I just remembered, I thought it was "Superior Car Parts" that made the folding, stainless and oak top bows for the '32's, then went the way of that funny bird you are refering to?

I went through your catalog. You list stock height and 2" chopped windshield frame, and top bows and irons for the '32 Roadsters and Phaetons. Do you have 3" chopped folding bows and irons? Thanks
