Re: 1930 Model “A” Fordor MANY upgrades for comfortable touring

Very nice looking car. You may have better luck on The Swap Meet. See at the very top. Also try selling on some of the other places, such as Bring A Trailer, or in the Model A magazines. I would like to see a photo of the engine included as that can tell a lot. I think the price is right. I have the exact same car with some additional add-ons. With the overdrive and 3.54 rear end, it should cruise along nicely.

Sounds like you have a lot going for you in that car Amanda. I'm sure someone will be really happy with it.

A senior member of my local chapter and Model A enthusiast for 60 years told me that he sees more and more cars gussied up like this. It draws a lot of people on the modern comforts and performance. He told me when we were working together on my standard coupe that I should keep it like it is - plane jane, stock and simple.

Looking at the rear armrest, woodgrain and the cowl lights, I think this may be a Town Sedan. Can’t tell for sure because I can’t see the dome light: center mounted = Fordor, rear mounted = Town Sedan. OTOH, Town Sedans didn’t have cloth seat fabric in 1930, only mohair or Bedford Cord. Lots of Fordors were gussied up to act like Town Sedans, but the dome light is generally a giveaway.

Either way, it is gorgeous, and about the right price with the O/D and A/C.

Enlarged one of the pictures and it appears that the dome light is rear mounted as in Town Sedan:
