Is this correct?

The original rubber has aged to a point where it doesn’t resemble the new part. Set up like this the bolt isn’t long enough to pass through the water pump. Is this the correct order to set up the engine? Do I need to trim the rubber ring next to the head of the bolt to make it work?

Instead of trimming the lower insulator, reverse it so that the lip faces up, not down as you have it in your photos.

Also you are missing the washer that fits beneath the nut. The large washer in your photos is for between the bottom of the water pump extension and the top of the large, upper insulator.

Thanks. There is a larger lip on the other side of the insulator that fit snug and facing up. I did get the smaller washer on correctly. I ended up trimming the smaller lip in the image off, as the bolt wouldn't be long enough to catch the threads. Plus, it would of just smashed between the head of the bolt and the washer on the insulator.

I finally was able to get out to the desert and install the pumps and mounts. Unfortunately, it was pushing 100 degrees and the tools and parts were burning my hands. I'm having to work in a dirt lot and the back of my truck.

After I got out of the Army I worked at a local dairy that had a distribution hub in Indio, CA. When we had to work on a truck there during the summer we kept our tools in a bucket of water to keep them from getting too hot to touch. Parts were another matter.
