Brake/clutch return springs hook where?

I see in the Green Bible where they hook to the pedals, where does the other end hook onto? Anyone have pictures? Thanks!

Look for little tiny holes in frame rails and transmission mounts, for instance. I believe the 1st pic BELOW is a '37 Ford.

I'm pretty sure the 2nd, 3rd and 4th pictures BELOW are '39 Ford.

Not the same as 1940. Both the brake and clutch pedal return springs are different. The 40 springs are pictured below

Thanks for the pictures! I found my hole for the clutch going rearward. It looks lie the first picture is for mechanical brakes, and the rest do not show the brake spring. It will have to hook somewhere forward of the pedals, but I can’t find a logical place it would go. Anybody know?

The picture BELOW is for sure of a '39 Ford brake/clutch pedal assembly. It can be clearly seen that the BRAKE spring is the smaller one toward the right in picture and goes to a small hole in lower frame rail.

Now that’s a good picture, thanks! It seems that I am missing some holes in my frame. I’ll drill one. Anyone know the dimensions to locate this hole?

The 39 brake and clutch pedal spring are the same. It is pictured below 5.40" OAL. I would not think you have to drill another hole. Are the pedal stop bumpers in place??
