1957 32 cu. in. crankcase ventilation

I have a left front mounted crankcase ventilator (just behind the fuel pump) that constanly leaks. After sitting overnight, there is always a puddle on the floor. I have no idea how much oil escapes while driving. Why is this happening? It seems to be complete including the mesh filter.

It probably needs to be disassembled & cleaned, so the collected oil can drain thru the small tube back into the block as it should.

I removed the unit (not an eaasy task!) and thoroughly cleaned it and couldn't identify a problem. Still leaks.

The two Y-block engines I have use a different type road draft tube. You've hit my limit of knowledge about that canister style.

Make doubly sure that the gasket is seated properly ans the "can" is centered properly.
