Help with interior of my '56 Thunderbird

I live in Escondido, CA about 30 minutes north of San Diego and am looking for a person or company that can help me with the completion of the interior of my '56. I believe I have all the parts, having bought them from Larry's Thunderbird or CASCO in years past.

Does anyone on the forum have any recommendations for this kind of help in my area?

figi, Kyle at C&G Ford Parts referred me up to Prestige Thunderbird in Sante Fe Springs. They do restorations. My contact is Frank Picarella at 562.944.6237.

I did my own interior restoration with parts and video from CASCO. (Confess that there were times when I thought about farming it out, but took my time and happy with the results.)

Best of luck....Dick.

Thanks Dick...I know Kyle well. He gave me a name and number of a local guy who never returned my call. That has happened a few times with other referrals, so I thought I'd turn to the larger audience. I considered doing the work myself. I bought the parts/material from Larry's Thunderbird years ago, but didn't want to screw it up since the rest of the car is done right. I got a referral from the place that polished my valve covers: Old Town Upholstery in Escondido, so I thought I'd go over there and talk to them first. Best, Dan

I know it is not quite the same, but when I restored my Model-A I used a kit from Labaron-Boney. It turned out nice. You tube and reading the instructions helps a lot. Been in my car for over 25 years, and still looks good.

My experience is that shops (of any trade) do not really want to help you unless they sell you the stuff. Maybe you will have better luck with club members. The buddy system works.

Great point, thanks Gene.

:rolleyes:Dan, what parts of the interior are you restoring? (Assume it's the seat since that's the most involved, but you know the downside of "to assume"!)
