34 3-Window Project

Nothing like a garbage truck engine in a 34 with the crossmember cut out for a auto trans. What a brilliant idea! The more butchers out there the more my original stuff is worth!

Thanks to those that helped me ID those pieces. As for the "butchering" comments, sorry I posted on the wrong board. This car is far from being restored, if it was a restored car, I would put a dropped axle and juice brakes and cruise it. I've got a '32 Roadster with a '39 trans, torque tube, and juice brakes so I'm well aware of those limitations. I respect the old cars and have no desire to cut one up. All the sheetmetal will be used as is, stock taillights, headlights, cowl lights, and handles. Hoping to be able to keep the original glass too. I wont bore you with the build. If I run across some other small brackets, I'll post for some help and appreciate any I can get.

Thar poor old car has survived all these years without anyone butchering it. Why can't you just appreciate what a great car it has always been instead of destroying it forever.

"Destroying it forever" is a bit overly dramatic. It already has a later, non-stock engine in it.

Anything but a SBC . Please rethink . If you want OHV at least think traditional nail head ,Y block , caddy all mated to a 3 speed. But i really love the car. Modify but do no harm.. I know I know, while the car is in your care you can do what you wish , but think further ahead.

The SBC is as traditional as any of those engines. SBC = 1955, Nailhead = 1953, Y-Block = 1954, Cadillac = 1949
