Counterclock wise like regular bolts and nuts. However, later model A's have tabs and not screwed in like the earlier ones (28 and 29).

Get the tool and use impact driver, trying to force it with brute strength could damage it. Just sayin.

Mine just lifted up and out ---- try that first if you haven't tried that one yet.
