Rear speaker grill

Pictured is the rear speaker grill from my '54 which I believe is stock. Does the raised portion go in the back or the front of the deck?

I found a picture of that grill on the internet, but it says it's for a '55 and '56. It doesnt say which way it goes. The picture I found for a '50 thru '54 is round with 3 spokes

Rear Seat Radio Speaker listed in the 1955 Ford Accessories Brochure.
From this illustration. it is hard to tell which way the slot faces?
Is that the top of the back Seat shown?

It appears that the seat is in the pic. Other vents "may" be for rear window defroster, if available.

Thankyou for the research. Maybe this car didn't come with a rear speaker to start with and what I have was added later.

The rear deck has four matching holes as does my Victoria parts car. That isn't to say the original isn't round, it just doesn't have 3 studs.

Per the picture I think I'll put the raised portion to the rear. It looks odd turned around anyway.

The '49-'59 reprint of the catalog isn't any help. The first time it shows a part number for the radio is 1957. The parts number shown on the brochure isn't listed.
