Big Truck Brake Master Cylind

Hello,
I have a 46 Ford 1.5 ton dump truck and I need to replace the master cylinder. Does anyone have a manufacturer’s (Dorman, Wagner, etc) part number for the correct one for my truck? My local NAPA couldn’t find a part # for it. As I understand it, the big trucks MC has a larger bore than say a pickup truck. I’m trying to find a U.S. manufactured part. Thank you.

Ah, now it makes sense. Good luck still. Some overseas stuff is made a lot better than others. I have chin wheel cyls. in a '48 Ply and they have been good many years as of now. Where is some wood when I want it?

Looks like the Ford number was 91T-2140 and then appears to have changed to B9J-2140-A fits 1940-52. NAPA and Raybestos number is 4572.

Rockauto might have what you need. they list 1.25" master cylinders. Look at years other than yours and f3 f4 etc. cross check the numbers and pictures.

Use the power of the internet.

Mart.

When I had my '40 big truck I got a new m\c from Joe's Antique Auto. Been a while but worth a phone call. IIRC the m/c was the same for up to '52 or so. My local parts house has a listing for a Dorman one China but the one from Joe's was a USA Wagner one.
