at $400 do some sums i see at least $1000 worth of parts a little work maybe but you wont be out of pocket

Not sure where the $400 value came from. That would seem like a pretty subjective conclusion at this point.

If it were me, I believe I'd be more interested in determining the condition of those two brake drums. And if that is actually a '39 Ford, that brake & clutch pedal assembly is probably worth at least $100.

Coop- the $400.00 is what I spent to repair cam tensioner on Harley. We were trading even. I got him to throw in the other parts for the money I spent for repair to my trade. I have room for the motor on stand. The frame will crowd me some. I’ll tear down the one on the stand, just because I want to.
