My 1929 Tudor has a loose fan belt it’s been switched to a Nu-Rex 6 volt one wire alternator and belt has an inch and a half of play at its tightest adjustment anyone know the correct belt to buy at the parts house?

I have the same alternator and the model A belt did not handle the smaller pully very well. It kept on stretching and eventually broke. I went with Napa part number 20426 castillated belt. The belt is more flexable to handle the pulley. It has been on the car for 5 yrs without any adjustments. Don't over tighten it.

Another possibility is a BX40.

McMaster carr has every conceivable v-belt you could ask for.
