I am not now but have in the past.
It worked fine but did not like it because it wore the cam gear so it would only last about 10 vintage races.
I went to a Jacobs computer type ignition and cured the problem. I could not tell any difference in performance other than the plugs lasted slightly longer.
 
Those mags take some power to turn the magnet and they are larger than conventional mag like the Fairbanks Morse. There is no spark control on most mags either which can make starting a problem unless it has some form of starting aid or a way to turn the whole mag to retard the spark.
