Posting pictures

An old school teacher of mine by the name Ray Gurran once told the class not be be ashamed or hesitant in saying you don't understand. Because if you don't you can betcha others in the class don't know either.
Now I have had 2 subscribers to this forum endeavour to explain to me reducing pixels. I have not comprehended. I continue to ask my friend Mercman to do so far me. He is the ace at that.

"woofa."....I realize that this is not the answer that you asked for, BUT....I still haven't run into a "TOO LARGE" picture yet that wouldn't post here, once I e-mailed it back to myself. My YAHOO e-mail has performed magically in that regard.

One thing that you must be aware of when you attempt to post, and the picture is rejected, is the FORMAT of the picture. If it is not a "jpg", and is something else like a "bitmap" for instance, you must modify the format for it to go, and I do that with "PAINT". I'm proud to have taken "MERCMAN" under my wing several years ago to help him get the hang of these pictures. He learned WELL! DD

Well you taught Mercman well. He's an ace. He did endeavour to teach me but gardening is my love not electronic understanding. I'll give posting larger pictures a go. thankyou, gary
