Can I suggest you take a longer belt, cut it and superglue the ends together. Then take it to an industrial belt supplier, ask them to measure it and supply the nearest equivalent.
You might be struggling though, with no method of adjusting tension. You might also struggle getting it on or off and changing it if necessary.
Some sort of a tensioner (idler pulley) might help a lot though.
Or a generator!
Mart.
I figured I would just roll the belt on once I get the size figured out. But having a tensioner would make things easier as long as it doesn't look too out of place. It's going on a vintage drag car.
I am not an 8ba guy, but I thought all the 8ba water pumps had the pulleys staggered, no ?
I have a merc motor on the run in stand now, narrow pulleys, staggered. now idea what year, or whether or not its stock. Also, were they not staggered to make room for the dizzy?
49 Merc were wide belt. After taht narrow and staggered.

So your not running a generator, may I ask how your generating power.
Even when using a mag you still need cooling. I wonder if you could use a tension pulley setup upside down on the generator mount as a belt tension
