I have the sad task of reporting to the Fordbarn members that Walt Dupont passed away Dec. 6, 2021 at age 85. When I figured out how to post his obituary I will do so.
 
Boy, now that sucks . . . he was one solid Barner and contributed a LOT to this site (and our hobby in general) over many years (okay, decades!). RIP Walt, you were one of the BEST ones!
 
What a loss to all of us here and of course his family. May the Lord bless and comfort them in the time of loss

That is SO sad! Been missed HERE for three or four years now. Walt will always head-up THE BEST of them...All-American Legend! RIP Walter! DD

He will be missed.
I was fortunate enough to have purchased engines from him.
He was a true craftsman.
Thank You Walt.
 
R.I.P …..my friend …. He could build a Flathead….. tell a story…. make you laugh…. And rip on Martin guitar like there’s no tomorrow …..we shouldn’t lose people like that…. Mark
 
I cannot add anything to what has been said here except to mention my personal sadness and my thoughts for his family at this distressing time.
 
I'm new, so don't know anything about Walt DuPont. I sit at the feet of all the experts on here, learning what I can. Sad day when we hear of one of the experts passing.
 
My wife and I visited Walt and Rockie on our travels in the USA, he was a real gentleman , gave freely his knowledge and we became good friends, he gave lots of tips to make our flathead dragster go fast and stay together, Rockie and my wife Carol got on like a house on fire, our trips out in the sticks to meet his mates and look at old cars were good times.thank you Walt.
My thoughts are with Rockie and his family.
Rest In Peace Walt.
 
I didn't know Walt personally, but he seemed like a kind and generous person with his time, talents and knowledge sharing of our flathead Fords.
