Hi,

I am building a 29 roadster pickup my first model A, well the project did not come with the rear half of the cab so I ordered new panels and brackets, I want to assemble it correctly but not quite sure how. I would love to see some pictures to help get things going. How it is held together and how it sits on the subrails. Any help would be great.

The Model A Ford Club of America has published a series of books dedicated to the restoration of Model A Fords. There are also other dedicated books that you can use.
I would suggest that you order catalogs from Brattons, Snyders, or any other Model A parts suppliers. They always list a number of books pertaining to all phases of Model A ownership. They usually provide a description of the contents of the various books. I hope this is helpful.

I'm working on a 29RPU as well. I can take some photos for you when I get a chance. You need the rear section primarily?

Where are you located?

Russ/40 -- I'm assembling the rear section of a '29 roadster pickup and would like to see you're photos also. Thanks,

Bob

Yes the rear section of the cab, the two side quarter panels and the cab back panel. The parts I ordered came with brackets and other pieces I have general Idea how the fit together just want some reference pictures.

I live in Central NY.

I put one together the same way a few years ago.A fellow from Great Britain sent me a pile of pictures. His name was Jem,and I haven't seen anything from him in a couple of years.I printed them out and put them in a book, but I don't have the equipment or the know-how to copy and send them.He did used to post on here, maybe he is still reading this site.

It may be too late to tell you now. You can buy the rear half of the cab assembled from Brookville. If you bought Brookville panels you may be able to return them and buy the assembled rear half.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I have not been able to do anything for 3 months now. Bad rotator cuff, right arm.

I had surgery on my rotator cuff in December 2010. I'll still need more months of healing and physical therapy to get back in shape.
