The transmission has been performing great.

But overall, she is as good as the day she left the LA plant, back on August 26, 1953. That reminds me her birthday is coming up shortly, wonder what I should get her?

You asked about door edge guards in one post. There were two kits released according to BODY STYLE -

BODY 73 - 4DR SEDAN - BG 19292-A (4PC KIT)

BODY 60 - 6 PASS COUPE' (Fr.)-
BODY 70 - 2DR SEDAN - BG 19292-B (2PC KIT)
BODY 76 - CONV -

See APPL Chart Attached Below -

SOURCE - 1949-53 MERC CHASSIS CATALOG

Maybe this will help -

The hard part is, even when I now know the correct part numbers, there are non to be had.

The search goes on.

In the lower section of the APPLICATION CHART (19292), the individual PN's are given for individual mldg SERVICE REPLACEMENT. Run the two PN,s for the 2DR and you might get lucky.

Have you come across these people yet?

I tried the part numbers with Green Sales and Back Counter, no luck. Lincoln Old Parts, thought they had a set, but they were only 28 1/2" long and the doors are 30". Ones I have seen on other Mercs and Fords are in fact 30".

Thanks for the suggestions.

They are out there somewhere, I just haven't found them yet.
