8ba in a 32 ford

hey guys, im trying to put a 8ba flathead in my 1932 ford with a 39 3 spd trans. it has the original k member and a model a lowered front crossmember .i am using typical round rubber motor mounts, but the od of them are to large and hit the sides of the frame when i try to put the motor where it should sit..any pics or info would be great thanks!

On all the 32 chassis I have built for myself and customers I put the weld on side mount brackets even with the top of the frame rails which leaves the top biscuit just a tiny bit on top of the rail.

Charlie, That's how I'd do it if I had an original frame. Drake makes some nice original forged mounts. My reference above to how I mount my motors is in reproduction frames.

I think I welded on the mounts a tad below the frame, about 1/2” IIRC. I used a complete model A front crossmember, so I raised it just enough to clear the crossmember.

Rather than remove and reweld the mounts, make up a shim of the appropriate thickness to put you above the frame and place them underneath your biscuits......

I like to use 1951 mercury water pumps and the risers. I have to ask how are your hoses lining up would be my biggest concern.
