I am beginning my 1939 ford project and have now disassembled all body panels from the car. I am in the process of working on trying to fix some terrible weld repairs that were done by the previous owner and am stuck with what to do with the large tears in the front of the fender. I am brand new to all of this so please bear with me
. We have outlined the area in question and have cut a piece of metal to size and have begun the process of trying to shape it. It is incredibly difficult and does not want to conform to the curve we are trying to match it to.. Is there another way I should be dealing with this? or is there a method to heat the metal to shape?
Thanks!
