I'm moving onto starting the repair of the section of the front rail and cowl of my 29 standard coupe.
I'll have to make the front rail section myself and have purchased the cowl and firewall support.
If anyone could provide a repaired or stock photo of the section I've posted here so I can get a proper visual on what it needs to look like finished I would greatly appreciate it. I mostly need to focus on the lower left of this photo where the cowl/firewall brace/ the end of the rail, and the vertical piece of metal all comes together. I'll need to complete both sides.
There isn't enough metal left of the vertical pieces as they bend down and over the rail so I can get a good idea of what is looks like completed.
I've been searching the net for photos and can't seem to find what I am looking for as a good reference.
I work in the Information Technology industry and used to install equipment racks. Many years ago I saved many of the steel support brackets that were to be discarded from the job and they are the perfect thickness of steel to repair the front of the rail and to be used here. Lots of hand work but I should be able to make what I need if I can see what the end result is supposed to be.
Appreciate it.
