I suspect my rear hubs haven't been off in 25 years. Once I get them off using the bolt type puller and clean up the surfaces, should I be able to use the knock-off type puller after that? Any tips?
Bruce,
Do not use a 'knock-off' puller.
it doesn't 'pull' anything, it only tends to mushroom the end of the axle.
See the link for the best type of Ford hub puller, and the reasons.

If you were going to use the puller from the Twin Cities club, I tried to use it a few months ago and it doesn't fit any Model A hubs. It's a bit too small to slip into position on the hub.
I decided to make some adjustments to the KR Wilson hub puller and now manufacture an "enhanced" version. Check it out here: http://vintageprecision.com/products/hub_pullers/index.html
Didn't someone say you should loosen the rear wheel studs a little and drive the car around for a while to loosen the drums?
Nice site, but why can't you have pricing, without us having to call you?
