Electric Wipers 6 volt

Hi Guys Any suggestions / recommendations for a replacement 6 volt wiper motor for a 36. The one I have is playing up , it appears to be a Japanese motor Mitsuba 730 , no idea what it is out of. It mounts behind the panel above the windscreen , the Macs and others I see seem to big to fit there. Do these mount differently or can you cut the wiper shaft down to fit the motor behind the panel and run a separate switch control.Any help appreciated.

FYI: 6 volt wipers were use on 53' Trucks from the factory.
