1939 pedal assembly bushing, whoda thunk! fix

Ok, here is the low buck tip of the day.

The trap in the store sink needs to be replaced so there's a trip to the hardware store for some replacement parts. After the job is done I have this stub of brass drain trap setting on the counter when I eyeball a 1939 Ford brake pedal bushing being shipped out. Is this a coincidence or what, they are within .003 of the same size. Now i don't have a pedal assembly right now to try an installation but I'm sure some of you enterprising guys can.

even closer to home.. they are the same OD as a kingpin bush, just a lot thinner..so save your worn out kingpin bushes, ream them out to the pedal shaft diameter and there you have it!

A bush is made of bronze [a tin/copper alloy] Bronze is a bearing material. Brass is a lead/copper alloy and is NOT a bearing material. Ever!! my take on it!! Brian
