Thanks to those who helped me to determine what motor and ****** I have(found). It is Lincoln 460 from the late 60's. It has a engine bore of 4.360 which is a 460. The engine numbers on the block are C9VE-9. For those who helped or care the bore for a 430 is 4.300 and the 462 motor has a bore of 4.38. Hope that helps all. Again thanks. I will have the motor and trans in San Diego at the Big 3 this weekend if you want to see it. Scott

Just so you know, both the 429 and 460 had the same bore. The difference was the stroke-

429 Bore: 4.360"
Stroke: 3.59"
Chamber size (C8VE/C9VE/D0VE): ~72-75cc

460 Bore: 4.360"
Stroke: 3.85"
Chamber size (C8VE/C9VE/D0VE) 75cc
Chamber size (D2VE) ~99-100cc
Chamber size (D3VE/E8TE): ~93-95cc

I came across your FOR SALE POST afterwards.

So you plan to get rid of it?

Have you posted it at any of the LINCOLN FORUMS?
