I haven't even tried on my '32 which will have a 8BA engine but I have a question relating to these rods. Are they nessesary nod if so can they be made or re they readily available?

They look like 32 ford. They might be 4 cyl rods, you can use 4 cyl rods on a V8 by dieing the thread down a bit further and relocating the rod to the V8 location in the K-member.

I don't have access to any at the moment to check the lengths of the two types.

Mart.

The rear axle torque tube assemble is connected fairly rigidly to the engine/transmission assembly. When you accelerate and brake, it tends to push the whole drivetrain forward and aft. The clutch linkage is a mechanical setup so this movement of the drivetrain is separate from the pedal assembly which is fixed to the frame. This can lead to chatter at the clutch plate, so they are often referred to as anti-chatter rods or stay- rods, etc.
